Going from this to
in PS CS.

1. Crop the basedown to 100x100 and duplicate it once. Set the duplicated layer to soft light at 100% opacity.

2. Create four new layers for color. Going from bottom up, they should be:
1. #051b30 - Exclusion, 100%
2. #ebddf1 - Color Burn, 100%
3. #dbcab6 - Soft Light, 100%
4. #ddf1f0 - Color Burn, 100%

My icon now looks like this:

3. Now, duplicate the base, drag it to the top, desaturate it (CTRL + SHFT + U), and set it to soft light at 100%.

4. Finally, to brighten things up a little bit, I duplicated the tan color layer, and brought it to the top. Opacity and Blending stayed the same.
