Busy busy busy!

Things happen and don't happen, sometimes simultaneously.

I've been applying for jobs like crazy, and I have finally decided that I am the least hirable person I know. at least 16 apps in so far, and no positive responses.

But no fretting, I can't bring myself to care, good things are all around.

I went to Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the midnight movies with a bunch of wonderful people. There weren't many people in drag, and only our group sang along. For shame Royal Oak! For shame! and during pride month of all times.

Regardless, it was mind-bogglingly wonderful on the big screen, and the beauty of Ted Liscinski (the guy with yellow/orange/pink hair) is only magnified in theatres.

Speaking of hair, I have grown utterly bored with my own, and am considering a drastic change which many include any of the following: Bleached, with black in front or back. Bleached, cut, spiked, and highlighted with pink/orange. Dyed a cartoonish shade of brown. I'm also taking suggestions.

I spent most of the day with the wonderful Noah, beginning with some Todd and Gabby time spent with Michel Gondry and my new puppy (which I am loathsomely allergic to). Afterwards we wandered pseudo-aimlessly around town, and ended up at the Rochester park, where I ran into Mike Moher of all people [He was cavorting about with Amanda... oooh] We chatted briefly and had an enjoyable moment of serendipity.

Shortly after I was introduced to a fine young lady by the name of Whitney, we went to caribou coffee where we inadvertently ordered the same drink. One of my R.A.s from Wayne was passed out on a couch with a text book hanging limply off her hand. While we were there the power went out, and I used the bathroom in the pitch black darkness.

Then we made a flash discovery.

"Oh my goodness, the Raveonettes show is tonight... right now!" PANIC!

We deliberated shortly, and quickly headed down to Detroit. We missed the first opener, but the show was amazing, and I had no idea how atmospheric the Raveonettes could sound live. I definitely love them now. after the show Noah shook hands with Sonny, and everyone had a happy ending.

The drive home was disconcerting and we got lost a billion times, but eventually made it home safe and sound.

On the way we discussed our writer's group which is finally coming to fruition, hopefully with a meeting this coming Monday. Huzzah.

Also, we've been discussing names for Noah's new band, which I have been given the honor of playing keyboard in (somewhat poorly). So far we have Scarlet _______ where _____ is unknown, but we've been investigating assonant words to follow, and currently enjoy "Dyes" and "Mark".

More on that later.

I’ve started reading “Satan Burger” again, and it is such a wonderful book. It comes highly recommended to everyone. Particularly Katrina, who I believe exists within the realm of the story.

Goodbye my adoring public!
