PART II
It wasn't the move that split up my relationship with my then boyfriend, it was pretty inevitable. We fought over the phone more than we laughed. So, I'm in a new place with no friends and newly single so my step-sister takes me out to some bars. Drunk Katie goes right up to this random guy I thought was cute and gave my phone number I wrote on the back of a Safeway receipt. He called a week later and we started hanging out. He introduced me to his friends and he would take me on his boat to go wake-boarding. Things were cool for about a month...till I ran into a roommate of his and another of his friends at a bar near my house. They started buying me shots and I blacked out within an hour. I won't go into any unwanted details but me and the guy with the boat broke up because I "cheated" on him. I had to start going to a psycologist and a psychiatrist and deal with my dad and step-mom putting me on lock-down. I couldn't go out anymore, I had to constantly call home to check in. I'm rebellious and this had a bad affect on me. I didn't know any bars I could go to that they wouldn't be at. But then I remembered a restaurant that my dad had brought me to when we left the hospital that day. We had to go into the bar to order food to go and it was a sports bar. I love sports and thought "Hey, no one I know goes there and if they do, I'll leave." So I started hanging out at this place called "Kilroy's." I would sit at the end of the bar, near the kitchen and drink a Guinness by myself. One of the bartenders was always real sweet to me. He was cute, nice body (from what I could see) and always a gentleman. I started asking the other bartenders about him, was he single? Well, he was single...but not for long.
