Interesting weekend...
I headed to East Tennessee last Tuesday night. I was going to a conference in Gatlinburg. I also moved a lot of stuff home to my parents house for the Fall semester. I got to see some people from school (Natalie, Adam, Gracey, and Mike), and Corrine came to visit on Friday night which was aweseom. I went to a couple of classes, a meeting and the aquarium. I ate some yummy candy, shrimp (from Bubba Gumps), and lost of Diet Soda. I got an award (a crystal bowl with stuff written on it for being a good student rep) and lots of free stuff from vendors...lots of pens! I love free pens!
The most interesting part of the trip occurred Thursday night. Adam, Natalie, Gracey, Mike and me went to dinner and were on the trolley on the way home. I was standing up because I gave my seat to someone who was holding a toddler. We were at a stop when a drunk driver ran into the trolley going about 60 mph. It. Was. Scary. Of course, I fell down but I am very lucky to only have a couple of bruises and some soreness. I had no idea what had happened, and immediately started freaking out once I got off the ground. 3 people on the trolley had bloody heads and at least one of those also had a concussion. They took them to the hospital. We all had to tell them where we hurt and if we wanted to go to the hospital. Fortunately, we were all okay. Natalie has a very sore back because she was sitting in the back seat and her lower back is bruised. I hit my arm on something and have a big bruise. I am sore in several places from falling but all in all very good. It took the fire department like 45 minutes to get the driver out of the car. I have no idea what happened to him after that. None of the news websites have any more information on the wreck. It was a crazy, scary night.
Got back to Gallatin a little while ago. Only 4 more days of work, then a nice break with Jason. I am a little worried about starting my next extern, but I am trying not to think about it right now.
I finished Breaking Dawn last week. I liked it. I has some crazy stuff in it, but I am okay with it. Well, I am off to do more laundry.
