theenforcer 's been being inventive with the truth again lately. Just to set the record straight, here's how our Christmas conversation really went:
"Listen son", I said, "it's about time you bought yourself a house".
"What?!" he exclaimed, and hit me with a disapproving sideways glare. "I don't want a house".
"Son, we are about to enter a new decade. This is not the stone age."
"Dang," he said, "I don't need a house".
"Nonsense" I replied. "Everyone needs a house, and it's a good investment".
"I don't think it's a good investment, and I'm sure I can find better ways to invest my money"
"But historically, the price of houses has..."
"I DON'T WANT TO BUY A HOUSE! OK?"
I guess he put me in my place. Even though he's... WRONG!
