life is really different here in the south

This week is really showing how life can really be in Spain and the way spanish people would demand it to be if they only could...

So, Tuesday and Thursday are public holidays. The 6th was the Constitution day (27 years now, 30 years after the death of the last fashist dictator in Europe) and today, the 8th, is a catholic holiday, the Immaculate conception.

The average Spaniard is in this case taking a "puente" (a bridge) and is having a holiday and going somehwere.
Means they haven't been working on Monday and also not yesterday either. And for the fact that there is Friday tomorrow, nobody can't be botherd to go. Means, they just take the entire week and claim that it isn't worth tuning up to work at all this week.

I must be the only one who's crazy enough to be at work.
Even the bar next to where I work is closed in the mornings this week. Excuse is that there is nobody who's coming for breakfast from the townhall and just for the one coffee I'm having, they don't want to open...

Now you can imagine why people over here are getting very old and Spain is one of the countries with the highest life expectancy in the world.

Well, I wouldn't change right now.
While others are freezing in the rest of Europe, I had a lovely day with 20 Celsius outside and a wonderful time while out there and walking along the beach :)
