I am a bit late to the party, as this pair of California barn owls and their four owlets have been online for several weeks.  Warning!  You may see a dead mouse- that is what they eat, after all.

I can't get enough of their plumage- the mix of warm and cool tones with those white "droplets." The mutual grooming is pretty cute, too.
There are owls in the woods near me, pretty big ones with an amazing wingspan.
Oilpocalypse is giving me an ulcer, I'm sure. Fouled beaches and marshes will play hell with lots of migratory species.
