Thank you! I wanted Ianto to not want to retcon Andy so I'm glad it worked. And I just refuse to acknowledge that the 'real' Series 3 exists!

Yes, I am intending to completely ignore CoE, so it won't turn up in any of my stories (apart from one exception where it will be the launch point and then get left behind).

Thank you! I really think that Andy and Ianto would have a great friendship - both trying to outsnark one another and combining forces to keep Jack in line. I have lots of plans for our intrepid team in coming stories!

They make a very good team inside my head and Jack does learn to twitch when they look like they are going to double-team him!

I like that Andy stays on the outside in this - not because he wouldn't be fantastic in Torchwood, but because he's so much more perfect outside of it, being liaised with, but being in the normal world.

Love to see your thoughts on what kind of people they would end up recruiting :)

Um, Andy will eventually wind up in Torchwood, but not just yet. He will come in as someone who has known them as an outsider before, however, and then I plan to have Kathy Swanson take over as the external link.

And I will be having fun with the people they wind up recruiting. Let's just say that where two of them are concerned, the Rift will provide.

I wanted that reluctance from Ianto and Jack accepting it, a little to Ianto's surprise. But yes, Andy is one of the good guys.
