Baby Back!!
So today is a mammoth day in the life of Tam!! I went and picked up my baby girl 'DIJON' today! She happens to be the four legged version of a baby girl but still I have missed her so very muchly. My Mum has been looking after Dijon since I went overseas at the end of 2001 and as I say to many people, the only things that I took overseas with me was
1 - An all time Aussie classic John Williamson CD which I love to death (I am tragic but it makes me feel Aussie) and
2 - a picture of my DOG!
So after 4 and a bit years of not living with her I finally have her at home with me! I am so excited and also a little anxious that she be happy little doggie. I know that she will be but it will take a few days to settle in. For all of us!!
So far she has met all the local puppies. Sam (Silky Terrier)and Toby (Scruff-bag Moodle, Maltese/Poodle)just barked at her and she looked at them as if they were silly savages (Dijon is rather well socialised after having spent the last 4 years with many other dogs, cats, kangaroos, wallabies and birds). She is just over them all. Then she met Casper (another more attractive Moodle), the puppy who lives behind us, they seemed to get along OK until he started yapping away and so she outgrew him quickly enough.
It won't take long (I reckon 3 days) and she'll lower her standards and be whoofing away with the locals. But for the time being she is crashed on the lounge next to her mother who is keeping a keen eye on her, as she is on me! I do love my baby! I hope she loves being back with me!!
