So...

Bush won. *thinks*... Bush won. *thinks some more*. Huh.

They're all idiots anyway, they should go off somewhere and squabble amongst themselves, leave us alone...

Weell.... I just came back from Siem Riep, Cambodia... (aka Angkor Wat, although Angkor Wat is only one of the old temples in the ancient city of Angkor.) Tuk-tuks are fun... The driver kept reaching behind him to tighten the screw that held the two-seater thing that were in onto the motorbike, as he drove... It seems that in Cambodia, the only real traffic rule is "honk at anything that is slower than you, smaller than you, or if you are feeling particularly important". That and "never signal if you want to turn, just honk. A lot." as well as "Ignore, at any cost, anyone who honks at you, ever."

*Honk*

But... The temples were absolutely lovely. We have lots of pictures--mostly taken by my dad, who got so addicted to picture-taking that he started photographing cars... Yeah, so I took a photo of my teddy bear. So what. :) :)

I also bravely nibbled on a bit of Durian fruit. Most people are afraid of the smell... I'm not... I just don't like the taste. Maybe I'll try more in CM & get used to it, and come back a Durian fiend... After all the name is very close to what I would have been called if I were a boy, Dorian. I like that name. Hehe like "The Story of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde... but... not. Hopefully. That character was... not too nice.

Tomorrow we are going by train to Chiang Mai... We will spend just over 3 weeks there. I'm really getting into the rhythm of life over here. Somehow it feels strange to think that one day soon I will actually be going back to the US...!!!

I am in a glowingly happy mood because: not only am I having a great time & actually looking forward to the 3 1/2 weeks in Chiang Mai, I also just got email from my lovely boyfriend who I love so much. Yay! *cuddles* And, I have a tan that people actually envy: I asked Diane "can I help with anything?" and she said "yeah, can I have your tan?"... Tee hee. AND, I have great music. I just got new CDs. Happy me!

Soundtrack to Thailand:
Ali Farka Toure--Niafunke (this is a wonderful CD, beautiful & raw, great travel music)
Norah Jones--Sunrise
White Stripes--White Blood Cells
Maroon 5--Songs About Jane
Morcheeba--Fragments of Freedom

Yay! Lovely music.

Well so now I am going off to bed. Well ok not right now. But soon. Getting up early tomorrow.

Ta ta!
