Will this year ever end??
I don't think so. I know it is stupid to think everything is hinging around a certain date. I'm not usually superstitious at all....but sheesh....
Happy Mother's Day? My first call this morning was from my Mom telling me that my great Aunt...Aunt Bea..(yes..I have an Aunt Bea..and she is just like the one on the TV show)...that she had a heart attack last night. She will be 90 in June. She is a wonderful woman. She lost one child at childbirth..and never had any more children. She was just like another grandmother to us. She had been doing pretty good...living in an assisted living home..and seemed very happy there. I have a weird sense of calm about it. I do not want her to suffer any...and she is a model Christian woman...and has been ready to ...and wanting to...die for a long time. She lost her husband 28 years ago...and then took care of her mother..(my great grandmother)..for years until she died. She has been lonely. *sighs* I'm rambling.
Mack has finally got most of our electronics back up. My big puter is back up and running..and he will put XP Pro on it today. His puter is back up and running and already has XP Pro on it...he is trying to get everything re installed now. The satellite is up and running. DSL is up and running. He got the air conditioner fixed. He is wonderful at this stuff. *nods*
Our wedding anniversary is June 22. Since we got married last year....
1. Mack's brother was murdered...(5 days after we got married).
2. Mack had major surgery in Aug last year...including having a skin cancer removed..having his uvula removed (he has sleep apnea)..and having the bones in the back of his nose shaved. Took him 6 weeks to get over it.
3. We found out I have leukemia in November.
4. We found out he has high blood pressure and diabetes..and huge cysts in his thyroid...(btw..Doc said on Friday that it could take up to 3 years for the iodine to shrink those and dissolve them.)...but we spent 4 weeks thinking he had cancer too.
5. One friend was killed in motorcycle wreck. Two friends also came down with cancer. One friend's son found out he is HIV+. One friend's son has spent the last month in ICU with brain swelling and is now paralyzed..with no known cause.
6. Aunt Bea had a heart attack.
7. ???? (don't wanna think about what I have to put here)
