3rd Annual JFK Memorial Hotdog Eating Contest

Mar 16, 2006 08:38

Come one! Come all! It's that time of year again. It's the 3rd Annual JFK Memorial Hotdog Eating Contest at Dealey Plaza. It's a tradition now. We made sure of it.

This Saturday, March 18, 2006 at noon on the corner of Elm St. and Houston St. in Dallas, we will be holding our infamous contest once again. And this time, I'm actually spending a few bucks to promote it! Woohoo!

You may have seen our ad in the Dallas Observer, but only if you look at the very small ones right next to the gaudy "massage" ads. You may have received an invitation in the mail, but only if I already knew your address. But here's the very special part of the contest: you don't need any of these things to attend!

Food will be free for all who attend, and I will be cooking Veggie-dogs, Kosher franks, and the good old-fashioned American cheap kind, in that order to keep the grill clean.

Adam, eating a hotdog.

There will be trophies, prizes, and yes, even balloon animals and other balloon sculptures by "Big Scott."

Rick, winning a trophy.

There's no stopping us, so you might as well show up.
