Jan's Brussels tour

My friend Jan took me on a walking tour of his city, Brussels. We went to all the local spots then after our tour he took me for dinner and many drinks. One of my favourite places was an art nouveau bar called Le Cirio. It's right out of 1890's and they haven't changed a thing since they built it. They have a delightful drink called half en half. After the war it was expensive to get champagne so they mixed white wine and champagne. They also have a resident meow which just meditates on the chairs. My camera battery died so I didn't get many pictures of the inside. I was rather annoyed that it died right then. I'd like to blame it on the roman ruins under the church, it was so dark I used my flash lots.

Brussels was my favourite place in Belgium. I hope to go back and just do a tour of the chocolate shops. :)
