LATEST: Radical rockers RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE only vowed to reunite after realising the "right-wing purgatory" the US has become since they split seven years ago (00). Frontman ZACH DE LA ROCHA, guitarist TOM MORELLO, bassist TIM COMMERFORD and drummer BRAD WILK announced last month (JAN07) they will take to the stage together for the first time since 2000 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in April (07). And they hope the gig will inspire festival-goers to take stock of GEORGE W. BUSH's presidency. Morello says, "Is it a coincidence that in the seven years that Rage Against The Machine has been away that the country has slid into right-wing purgatory? I think not. "It occurred to all of us that the times were right to see if we can knock the Bush administration out in one fell swoop, and we hope to do that job well."
