Myrnin-Guest Arrival I suppose? trapdoor_spider February 28 2010, 20:19:33 UTC
Myrnin had arrived fashionably late. Of course. He is dressed to the nines, if the nines were stuck somewhere in the mid nineteenth century. There were short pants with tights, ruffles, velvet and yes even beading. He's got a cane with a silver head and he makes his way through the cave, slipping through the shadows as he takes stock of the situation at hand. It definitely is interesting. He hasn't been to this kind of dinner party in years and it's exciting. Oh he knows it's wrong. Myrnin's sense of morality is aware of that. Unfortunately his sense of self just doesn't care about the wrong right now; not when dinner is trussed up so very nicely. A creepy smile curves his lips as he steps out of the shadows. His cane is stuck under his arm and he claps as he walks toward the center of the room.

"This truly is a lovely dinner display."

Even with Rido's back turned, he could sense the approach of the other vampire as he came down the darkened tunnel that led to the dining hall. At last, another of his kind. Even if he was just a lesser vampire, it was good to feel that old familiarity once again.

Turning, he let his hand slide off of the surface of the stone sarcophagus and he moved to greet their guest. "So glad you approve~."

He offered the man a smile and a polite nod of the head in acknowledgment. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Rido Kuran, of the Royal House of Kuran." It was tedious that he had to explain what every vampire should have known just by being in his presence, but the creatures in the City seemed to always be deaf, dumb, and blind to the obvious.

[ooc: Pureblooded vampires from the world of 'Vampire Knight' emit a kind of awe striking aura which is felt by the nobles and lesser vampires in the series. (Of course, this being a multiverse, people can either play with that or not~.)]

Myrnin has been around long enough that he recognizes an old//powerful vampire when he runs upon one. Of course, as long as he's been around, he's no slouch himself. The title Rido provides confirms what the tickle up and down his spine as has already told him. He smirks a bit, almost in defiance but bows slightly.

"And I am Myrnin. It is a pleasure to meet you. I take it this party is yours?"

The vampire displayed a slight sign of deference... and while it showed he had good sense, it was a far cry away from what Rido was used to.

He paused, studying Myrnin for a few moments before answering. "I'm pleased to see you have some manners, it's so rare here. But yes~. This is mine, as well as his..." He made a sweeping gesture over to the Master.

"No doubt, you know him~."

Sorry, Myrnin doesn't show that much deference to anyone. Even when it behooves him.

"Naturally, I am French after all." As if that has anything to do with his manners? Apparently he thought it did.

"Of course. He and I have discussed science from time to time."

"Science? I wouldn't have guessed..." Myrnin hardly looked the type with his nineteenth century garb. But then, the City tended to have eclectic taste in who it grabbed.

"Indeed. I'm a genius physicist and alchemist. And yes I do say so myself."

"A genius~? Is that so?" He laughed, entertained at the confidence that this young vampire exhibited so readily. It was a refreshing change from the guarded subservience that had surrounded him for all of his life.

"A worthwhile hobby and prestigious field of study."

"I wouldn't have been turned if I weren't," Myrnin informed him. He didn't see the point in being modest in the face of truth.

"Turned?" Rido had been too distracted by the details of the party to have paid much attention.

"I see~, and how long has it been since you became a Level D?"

Myrnin has to think about that a moment before he answers.

"Over 500 years. Give or take a few." The terminology makes him cock his head at Rido. "Level D?"

"You said it yourself. One who was human and then turned..." He shrugged, his eyes moving to watch some of the others in the room.

"In other words... a level D."

"Vampires aren't all turned in your world?" Myrnin asked. His fingers itched for a notebook to make notes. Dawn would definitely be taking notes on this part of the evening later.

"Hm?" The Pureblood's mismatched colored eyes slid back to look at the other man, mildly surprised at a vampire not knowing this very simple fact.

"No, of course not. Only the lowest of my kind are turned." His words were said without any intent to offend, after all, it was merely the truth.

"This is the correct sort of dinner?" the Master asked, curious, as he walked up to Myrnin. Social niceties weren't really at the forefront of consideration for him in the state he was. "You don't object to any of the food, do you?"

The Master understood Myrnin as a scientist, of course, but as for him being a vampire...he was near-completely in the dark.

The clothing was making him think vaguely of the Doctor, though, centuries ago.

"Correct is debatable, my friend," Myrnin grinned wickedly. "However, I approve whole heartedly of the food."

Myrnin is really two different vampires. When he is sane, he's fairly morally conscious in regards to humans and their lives. Although he does have a hard time caring in this City that pops them back in. Myrnin insane hasn't the sanity to care about moral integrity or human lives. He might not be in favor of actually killing the humans here but he's not going to stop anyone who does. He has a difficult enough time policing himself.
