It wasn't as if Roy took a long lunch away, for he generally did brown bag it. While he wasn't what one would call a great cook (or even a good cook) he did enjoy it. He had another interview today, and had stayed at his desk over the lunch hour, for the most part. Akuna had needed to go out for a walk after all, but the puppy was now sitting in the corner chewing on a toy.
Looking at his clock, lunch was over. Lal would be arriving likely soon, and for that reason Roy didn't bother starting any of his paperwork. After all, there was no point to starting it only to have it be interrupted, right? Anyone in the force would point the way out to Roy's office at the end of the hall, and he merely doodled on the corner of a piece of paper waiting.
