It had been a busy day, but then almost every single day since he'd entered the City had been busy... Having three jobs tended to do that, but it was all worth the effort. The goal was always the same; in support of a chiropteran queen. First, Diva. And now, his beloved Saya.

He wanted her to be happy, he wanted for her to not have to worry about any need, and if he could make her life more comfortable, then it was his pleasure to do so. Saya needed a home, so Solomon took a job at the hospital as an Emergency Room physician. Saya demanded that Diva die, so he devoted himself to research and through that, formed the ARTEMIS Organization.

He would win her heart, prove to her that she could depend on him. And if things went well, they could have their storybook ending complete with children to dote upon.

Still... the work was exhausting and mind numbing at times. And he always did enjoy being able to get away, even just for a short amount of time to grab a bite to eat or for drinks with one of the City's many residents. It was the reason why he had reluctantly agreed to dine with the Bookman, despite the rather... sordid incident that had passed between them when he was cursed.

Solomon considered the matter a thing of the past, one that didn't need to be brought up when he'd regained his senses. Lavi was his employee now, not through any favor, but instead for the sharp intellect and useful skills that he could provide to the company.

His eyes turned to see the other man standing in the doorway, mouth cocked into a confident grin. Solomon paused, wondering just what was going on in Lavi's thoughts, and questioned once again if it'd been a good idea to go along to this dinner. "... yes, impeccable timing. I'd just finished up with my paperwork for the evening."

Standing, he changed out of his Doctor's coat, and back into his more familiar suit jacket.
