Amu had been hearing about this event for the last few days and figured she might as well come. She had never really celebrated the Chinese New Year before but since her friends were coming, she thought it would be a fun experience. But what she thought in actuality was different from what she said because of how her outer character acted since she didn't want people to see certain sides of her because she felt they'd dislike her otherwise ( ... )

Tianzi knew Amu- just from the network, but she thought that was an okay way to know people, after all- you could talk through it- see through it- it counted.

And the other girl seemed somewhat familiar to her, like they shard something in common, maybe? She'd been shocked enough to find that of the two of them, Amu was the younger.

"... Amu?" She waved a little shyly, padding over on silk slippers that made no noise.

Amu turned to look in the direction she was being called while her guardian chara hovering over her shoulder curiously looking around.

She recognized that Tianzi was coming over to her and she waved back "Hi Tianzi"

She came up, inclining her head in a short bow before she cocked her head to the chara with a smile.

"Are those your friends, Amu?"

There's an ox in Xanadu though hardly as bedecked as the Empress herself. It plods along, unassuming and quite calm despite the lights and sounds.

And how could she not notice? A cock of her head, looking around to see if someone was leading it, an owner, but... nope. None in sight?

"... Mister ox?" She whispered, tiptoeing close, quiet and slow as she thought one should be around animals you didn't know.

There was something familiar- bothering the back of her mind.

Don't expect an ox to answer or the like, but when the Tianzi approaches this one appears quite fearless, tail swishing.

It stretches its neck to nudge her with its large nose.

Well- whether they can answer or not, it's always best to be polite. At its fearless nature she almost balks herself, but-

"... Happy New Year." The young Empress whispered softly, gently reaching out to brush her fingers against it's nose.

"You're a very good omen, Mister Ox."

"Ah- Konata!"

The Tianzi had been walking back from the tables of food, an almond cookie in her hands and half in her mouth, making her words slightly muffled as she came over, trails of crimson silk following after her.

"You came!"

"I- it's only proper!" She explained, flustering a bit and tucking the sleeves and folds of silk down about her. At the mention of Xing-ke she faltered- just a moment, before she put a big smile on.

"He went back to get something I forgot!"

Well that was tiring. Caspian shuffled off after this business with the dragon--it was harder than it looked, yes, don't make fun, he did well for his first run--to seek out the Empress and her companion. He hadn't seen Xing-Ke around all night, very queer, that.

Catching sight of Caspian, she immediately made her way to his side, smiling happily- a bit flushed herself, gotten excited with the sort of childish glee she possessed during the dance.

"Caspian, that was great!"

The others were around here somewhere--but ah, here came the Tianzi. He offered her a brief bow yet low enough to nearly match her height. Nearly. Maybe half that.

"Thank you, I am happy to hear you enjoyed the dance. It was my first," Caspian smiled, "and has your night been well?"

"Mm- it's been good- And for your first one, it was really amazing!" She inclined her head in return, offering one of the buns in her hand, one half munched on.

"Are you having fun?"

One of the main problems with this City, Peter thought, wandering through the festivities that Tianzi had dedicated herself so completely to bringing about, was the memory issue. Although he had been here before, had known the small empress, he did not remember any of that, try as he might, and he did try every now and then, as if just thinking a great deal about the fact would bring everything back, but it didn't ( ... )

The ox plodded along, not minding the noise or the lights or the fact that some people have draped decorations on its horns. For good luck, that was the logic. It paid no mind to prince or peasant, and had little issue with brushing against the High King of Narnia. It was a slowish ox though, so brushing against him was no different from standing next to him.

When brushed against or stood next to, whichever really, the High King of Narnia took only enough notice to politely nod his head at the decorated animal, unsure yet as to whether this was a Talking Ox or not. Best to treat it as if it was--and it didn't seem like it would be a threat either way. Stepping to the side slightly, he peered at present company.

Where did you come from anyway, he wondered.

The ox raised its head to look at Peter, as if more than aware of its own presence next to his. It said nothing... yet, but its green eyes appeared brighter, intelligent.

Eventually, it bowed its head again and nudged the High King's hip with its massive brow. See the table over there with fruits and sweets? The white ox wanted one. Now.
