Summary; After a bad night of drinking with Mugen, Hotta got into an argument with a strange girl. He apparently flipped out and tried to remove his offending eye. Gaara has happened across the man, mentioned that the man was dead to Izumi who rushed out to aid the boy...

The streets were empty. No monsters, no people. It was empty in the City’s streets. Empty and dark just like the apartment was. Everywhere it was quiet, lonely.
Only, it wasn’t entirely quiet. Someone was talking to something.
Gaara walked towards the sound, wondering if his friend really had meant to cut himself open. What the hell had they been talking about? This whole city was insane!
And then, he heard a shout and then a rather wet, dull thud. It sounded like something heavy being dropped on compact sand. Or maybe a body being dropped onto the pavement?
Gaara dashed forward, through the streets quickly. And stopped dead in his tracks. The man from the apartment, Hotta, was lying on the edge of the fountain. Something smelled like vomit close by and blood. The whole area smelled like blood. Most of it old, but some, very fresh.
Gaara approached, staring what appeared to be a corpse.
“Are you dead?” He nudged the man with his foot.
The man didn’t move.
Gaara frowned, kicked him harder. “Get up!”
Still, no response.
Gaara frowned, sat down by the fountain. His friend was broken, bleeding into the water, probably dead. What the hell was he supposed to do about it?
