"What do you WANT?" Mulder was heading for the square, pulling his gun, even though he already knew he was low on bullets and it was pretty pointless against something this big anyway.

He came relatively close and then just...gawked.
He'd seen some weird shit in his day, but this took the cake.

The creature briefly stopped for a moment, a head turning back to the newcomer. The anthill was struck and already the first of the little, little ants were pouring out to defend it all.

His original prey was down, so it turned, ready to charge.

watch me rape the monkeys you fantasized destroying yourself, little Warrior.

Mulder backed off a little way, unloading his gun into the oncoming monster as he did so.

This did NOT look good.

((OOC: com'on, he KNOWS he hasn't got a chance, feel free to squash him.))

[QUOTE=..."Little ape is no longer amusing," the Host snarled through one stalk head, the third leg, pronged tail, whipping at the tiny little man-snack.]

Hardly surprising he was neither prepared nor capable of doing anything about the attack.
The impact of the pronged appendage sent him flying, and he landed, hard.

Kantarou had known instinctively when and where The Host had arrived and once within sight, paid reverence to the creature with a low bow.

Behind him, several monsters he had enlisted from the underground, three in total, including Heartless-kun, followed him in tow.

"....You have come," he whispered with awe as he took in all that was the great Host.

There were more than just three monsters, for the rest of the children had come. Some were human, some less than that. A few sported the bruises of broken necks, and others perfectly healthy, all of one mind. All for the host. They gathered with the boy who had red eyes. All of one mind. All of one goal. What smiling children. Many of them bowed to Kantarou in kind.

"Respect--" said one woman.

"--for respect," said a not quite human man.

Kantarou smiled and regarded all around him. "We must strive for oneness, for together, as one, we'll have more power than anything else... power to overcome our opponents... power... to protect the ones we love."

He swept his eyes across the square, searching for those who were not one with them. "Destroy them all. Those who are weak. Those who are not one with us. Destroy them. They wish to hurt us. To subdue us. But we are not weak."

"So, you are here." Her words were icy cold. Motoko stood, facing Kantarou, sword drawn. "You say you wish to protect Fuyu, and so to find power you cling to this...filth? I will not forgive you for this. I'll give you one chance! Come to your senses, for Fuyu's sake!" She slid into her stance, waiting for his reply.

After Luke's warning, Jan and the assorted non-humans armed themselves and gathered at the Subway's Entrance, looking outside at the City....waiting for the slimey horde to arrive.

It did, but by another route.

A muffled sonic boom in the Men's Room and seconds later the door exploded off it's hinges by the tidal wave force of slugs.

Ran suddenly appeared next to Jan, her blade unsheathed and in her hands. She didn't speak, but closed her eyes and allowed her reiatsu to flare along her consciousness, pulling her power to her call.

Finally, she glanced over at Jan. "Sorry I been a bitch lately. Where the hell are..."

She was cut off by a loud noise.

"You will not come so easily," said the pronged tongue of a slugged woman climbing over the rubble. Her limbs and joints moved at distorted angles, so unnatural. Her nails were long, long and sharp as her hunger for flesh. She beckoned for the vampire man and the swordswoman.

For a moment, everyone stood there gaping in shock at getting unexpectantly back-doored.

The Conducter snapped-out of it first, "BLAST AND RUN!!"

Demons let loose with fire spells, giving the others a chance for escape. Jan grabbed Ran by the sleeve, haulin both their asses the fuck out of there.

Greed had seen about enough. This thing had been pissing him off for too long as it is. He donned his second skin and bounded to the town center, drawn by the scent of the beast.

He would show this upstart not to face a homunculus.

"Yo, amigo. Back away from that morsel. It's time for the main course!"

In a flash, he was already in the air, trying to come down on the beast's skull.

The bullets hardly phased it. As a matter of fact, they seemed to be spewed out by the flesh, rejected. Adaptation. Eventually the mallable cells had adjusted themselves to the concentrated impact and it bounced off.

"Little ape is no longer amusing," the Host snarled through one stalk head, the third leg, pronged tail, whipping at the tiny little man-snack. "Perhaps this creature might serve as more ample entertainment," growled the other.

Both seemed to openly grin, or somehow as they perpetually did, when this other newcomer came down, ready to grab him with wicked teeth.

Greed grinned at the thought or real combat with a strong foe. This thing may not have had finesse, but it was plenty big and strong.

"Come on, pal! Let's have ourselves a little party!"

He dove straight for the jaws below him, confident in the fact that his Ultimate Shield was stronger than any set of teeth.

Larxene averted her attention from Yggdrasill and Holly, watching with interest. She'd wanted to see if anything could get through Greed's shield.

Mithos, no, Yggdrasill broke into a predatory grin when he saw the creature down below, rampaging in the square. He'd had thoughts, doubts about joining the creature's cause (and how he had the thought of doing so, he couldn't have been able to explain to anyone), but seeing the massive, positively powerful being, Yggdrasill's doubts all but disappeared. This thing was powerful, worthy of his respect, and if it went against him, he was going to destroy it anyway. Just like everyone else.

Yes. He was only biding his time. Later, when all the filthy things were wiped out, destroyed and the city, the world was cleansed, he would deal with the thing's kind. For now, he was going to protect it and destroy all who stood before his path.

Cobray was still hanging onto one of his Gun Slaves, flying high above the area after retreating from the monster. Then he spotted HIM. Yggdrasill. Lounging around with not a care.

"You! Thinking of your perfect world right now?"

"Well, hello? Are you here to attempt the destruction of this being?" He pointed at the Host and then folded his arms haughtily.

"Actually, I was thinking of how I could destroy each and everyone of you filthy beings." Without warning, he threw sharp solidified light spikes at the new intruder, his wings shining vividly as he summoned from the mana reserves inside his body. "Did you wish to die?"

Astranagun's arm burst through a wormhole and interposed itself between the attack and Cobray. Quickly, the hole widened and all of Astranagun came out, teleporting Cobray inside.

Cobray's voice resonated, "I will destroy that thing, and I will prevent yourfrom killing my friends! You said at a previous time that I was no match for you. Well, I'm waiting for you to back up that claim."

Astranagun pulled the RAAM Shotgun off his right side and pointed it at Yggdrasill, waiting for him to move.
