Warning for unmitigated whinging.
So Louisa and I have come down with something flu-like that might well be COVID-19. It certainly have some of the same symptoms. Luckily, we've come off rather lightly -- I've just mostly been feeling grotty and tired all the time, and while Louisa did have a period where just getting up would make her wheeze (probably because she has asthma), a course of steroids and antibiotics (to get rid of any opportunistic infections) cleared those symptoms up.
But it's been almost three weeks now -- four for Louisa, really -- and I just want this to end! I'm just feeling so tired all the time. My work isn't the most physically strenuous -- computer programming from the sofa -- but when I put a full day's work in on Monday, it tired me out so much that I just fell asleep for over an hour after the day was done and felt noticeably shittier the next day. And it's still kind of like that. Do much of anything apart from veg in front of whatever, and it really takes it out of me.
It's undoubtedly that I'm rather spoiled when it comes to illnesses -- I feel bad for a day, maybe two -- but I'm really not used to having something like this linger and I just want it to be over.
Feh.
Anyway, here's hoping that no one reading this catches this bug, and if they do, they get it lighter than we did.
And also that my body doesn't decide this counts as work.
