Thank you so much for commenting. It's surprisingly carthartic to know that one of the reasons we started writing the Emily POV fics in the first place read up to the end and enjoyed the whole arc. (My muse is apparently extremely susceptible to peer encouragement.)

Yeah, I'd like to join in thanking Nike_ravus for creating the pairing, and encouraging me to play around with it a little bit. (I do hope I haven't disappointed her in my take on the characters.)

Happy endings and I have a somewhat dubious relationship in the main, but I was glad that I actually managed to bring this one to such a conclusion. As a reader, I kind of like them, but as a writer I seem to tap into my inner anti-romantic *far* too easily. (Witness, I guess, this story, where the romance only had a limited part in making the ending happy.)

I might visit the paiting again. I don't know. First, I'd have to find a different story to tell with them, which isn't helped that the plots I tend to write very much depend on winding up the characters and letting them go. So I'd need to find a different spin on the characters that still let them feel like themselves.

Do you have any suggestions about ways I could have written this better/improved the story, after having read the whole thing?
