Opinions on Shoveling
The snow is currently up to mid-thigh out there. The birds have not yet found the thistle feeder in the back, but they're enjoying the plate in the front.
Every house in this neighborhood gets two parking spots. One is numbered and assigned to a house. The other is unassigned, but "reserved for residents". I, living alone, only ever use the assigned spot in front of my house, and the unassigned spot is used by various people, either households that have more than two cars or guests of the neighborhood. I don't usually care unless they ding my car.
Anyway, later today, assuming it ever stops snowing, I will go out and clear out my car and the area around it. I may help my neighbors clear off theirs as well. However, there's also a knee height of snow in the spot next to my assigned parking space.
