Extremely random observation

There's a car alarm going off in the parking lot. It's not a particularly effective alarm, because it's really astoundingly pathetic. It's just the car's horn, sounding weakingly and somewhat arhythmically, with a startling persistence. It's too regular to be natural but too flawed to be the result of a proper function. There's something a bit off there, because every few beats the tone changes, or gets muffled somehow, or fades off on a weird bad note. There's neither strength nor purpose behind it, it seems. It stops, then it starts again, and I'm not quite sure what it's trying to accomplish. It's been going for a while but people seem to be just trying to ignore it until it runs out of gas.

For some reason it reminds me of the sound of bad sex.
