Schornsteine
So there was a little farewell get together last Sunday at Marche, they were having a mushroom promotion, how opportune! :D
I had this glorious creamy mushroom ragout with a really thick crème brulée, which was too rich for me and had to be shared amongst everyone.
After 11 hours of flight to Amsterdam, being delayed at Schiphol for 7 hours, and 1 more hour of plane ride, I finally arrived in Flughafen Zürich! It was freezing cold out there, probably around 0ºC, looks like I'll be wearing nothing but duffle coats...
The view from my room yesterday morning. The sun was spilling over the valley like golden caramel, pleasant smells of burning wood in the air coming from puffing chimneys... Time seems to slow down here.
These few days I've been sleeping very regular hours, 10pm - 6am, it's so healthy I can't believe it!
Yesterday I attended my first German class, don't know why I was signed up for the advance class, the teacher speaks in German only. Luckily there was one friendly Canadian girl who helped me out by explaining the words that I don't understand. This class seems to be good, I learnt the differences between: Etwa, Fast, Über, Schon, Erst and Denn. Now all I have to do is work at it day and night so I won't be too far behind!
Later I'll head out to look for a pair of sturdy Timberland boots for a hiking expedition up to Gurten, and macarons!
