Does anyone know of any kind of rescue group for Siberian Huskies in the Alabama/Tennessee area, or how I can find one? I've gone to google.com and akc.org and got nothing closer than North Carolina. He's an eight-year-old, unneutered, purebred, American Kennel Club-registered Siberian Husky. He's great with people, not so wonderful with very small children, (say, under four years old) b/c he doesn't know what they are, and has to be the ONLY MALE dog in the household (the reason we're giving him away: he does not get along well with other male dogs of any size, breed, or age). He weighs about 65 pounds and he stands....I'd guess about three feet tall at the withers (are they called withers on dogs like on horses?), and he's got energy to spare. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. My dad is really attatched to him, and wants to give him to a rescue group since he's an adult dog and has specific needs in his new home.
