So today, my RSS fed me Scalzi and McGuire discussing some proposed constitutional amendments that will be voted on at Worldcon this year, during the Business Meeting.

I found the proposals themselves on the LoneStarCon website, at the bottom of the Business Meeting page, for reference. The ones in question at those two sites are "No cheap voting ( Read more... )

Wow. Seems like the group is all for publishing companies and against the less wealthy. Have they always been this way? I was paid up for Mid-Americon in 1976 (didn't get to go due to family foo). But it didn't seem that commercial back then. But then they had no fan works to contend with either.
If I had to guess, I'd think the publishing business is going all-out anti fan-fic/ebooks and using it's clout with the WFSF to pull them away.

(Sorry I missed your post in August, was having some transplant weirdness then)
