my little sister and i flew to florida on a tuesday from washington dc.
we are fucking weirdos.
the beach. very picturesque. kinda made me wish i wasn't alone.
and sometimes, you could see the rain coming from miles away.
if you couldn't see it, then you could smell it.
and we drove all the way to the end.
these trees looked sickly. the clouds were always puffy.
it was very hard to take a picture of this gentle mammal. the manatee. the sea cow.
this is the one i wanted along the backcountry waters with. my sister
held me back and said it would be dangerous for my health. i also
learned later on that it was illegal to swim with them.
the florida keys were charming. very colorful. very friendly.
but more importantly, it is known as honeymooner's paradise.
which made me miss you.
it smelled like dead fish.
everything is better looking in the keys. even the pesty seagulls were somewhat of a comfort to me.
yeah, it looked just like that. no digital alterations performed.
again.
again.
you know, it's fun to be silly.
we woke up early to eat breakfast at denny's up the street.
the city from above.
a view from the sea plane we took to the dry tortugas.
the ocean reminded me of a garden.
this is the dry tortugas. where we went searching for fishes, and ran around the abandoned fort jefferson.
it's an island.
sea plane.
fort.
i was the co-pilot. not really. i just sat there and was careful not to touch anything.
back on the main island of key west there is a square which is called "mallory square."
it is known for it's street performers, beggers, and drunks. i really liked this place.
this man in particular, who really truly believed that he was the next hudini (spelling?)
he did make it out of this in three minutes. i was impressed.
duval street.
and i stood at the southern most point on the continental u.s. (pictured above)
in the car, my beautiful darling sister slept so peacefully. haha i love her.
she and i had an impromptu photo-shoot waiting for our plane that would take us back to dc.
i believe this is the only picture that makes us look alike. maybe because
by some freak accident we both made the same face without trying.
creeeep.
dont hurt me, please.
goodbye.
