Redecorating
So we ended up with some extra cash this month due to various reasons. We talked it over and we decided that we wanted to re-do the den area. The plans are going to include a wall of bookcases, a new desk w/ hutch, comfy recliner and a new computer case that is smaller to fit the new desk.
We picked everything out and all of the furniture should arrive on Friday! It has been a lifelong dream of mine to have a nice library type area of all of my books. <3
Unfortunately true to form we have run into a few issues...
1. All of the furniture is going to have to be assembled by just us. Yup that is right 5 bookcases, 1 hutch, and 1 desk. At least the people delivering it all said they would walk it up the stairs. We just did not tell them that it was about 3 flights worth. Anyway our weekend is going to be spent building things....oh joy.
2. The computer case arrived today....and dear god it is huge. I mean I looked at it and thought that UPS gave us the wrong package. It is all solid steel and sits taller than my coffee tables. I swear to god you could slap wheels on this thing and use it as a car. The picture online must have been taken from 2 rooms away cause I seriously remember saying, 'well that looks cute and tiny.' My dear husband though intends to use it....and is happily shoving parts into it as I write this. Ah well if someone breaks into the house I can use it as a bullet proof shield.
3. What to do with the table? We have this really nice oak table set that we need to get rid of. Only no one seems to want it. So I took the middle leaf out of it, and shoved it back into the bedroom. Threw some of the chairs into the closet...out of sight out of mind fixes that problem. >_>
4. Goodwill is going to stop our car and deny us donating rights soon. To get the monster table back into the bedroom we had to clear out the closet. Which meant tons and tons of stuff went to the good ol people at Goodwill....who we have been making regular trips to all this year. The sad part is that I have another bag of clothes for them...and yet more small things to drop off. If they are not asking what the hell is wrong with these people I am sure they will be soon. That or they are going to accuse us of owning a smuggling ring of cast off clothing and computer parts.

So everything should be great when it is all done! I am trying to remain positive...I mean once the furniture gets here it is only a matter of putting it all together.
