Con Plans!
Well, it's not like I have a ton of them, but I have people on my f-list that will care to hear about them. :)
I managed to get the time off for both Tokyo in Tulsa and Izumicon. So yes, 'Straya, it's official. I will DEFINITELY make it this year! I know I've only been promising to go for the last few years, but lack of time off and job change had canceled that twice for me, but this year, NOT SO!
Which brings me to my second point... I have a very clingy friend, which most of you know about, and she was trying to invite herself to Izumicon, not aware that I may be staying with friends and hanging out with them, since, y'know, I don't get to see 'em on a regular basis and I would not inflict the same clinginess and know it all attitude of the friend in question. I have a horrible image of me hanging around my friend's table and my clingy friend hovering too and going on and on about her own stuff. >_<
No. Please don't.
If she wants to go, and she does, that's great, but I won't be sharing a room if I don't have to. But I have a feeling she's going to rely on me to get her to OKC. I almost told her to suck it up, put the address in google and drive herself, but I didn't. I just kinda sat there and told her to check with someone in TAO that may be going. I hope she does.
Speaking of that, I have to get my ticket for TNT. The first year that I'm not going to volunteer. They don't have a place to put my room, no one cares really and I don't wanna worry about a freaking panel for it, not if I'm going to get dragged into the dollfie panels.
But I dunno. I wanna see how much they complain if there's no Jrock. Because then, maybe they'll think twice about giving me a room. Either that or go to a bigger hotel. I wish it had stayed in the hotel it was in the first year... but something about owing them money, that kind of puts a damper on things.
Also, Straya, let me know if you intend to go for the day for Scott McNiel. We'll hang out and get food and if I have to, I'll clean and put you and Steve up for the night if you don't wanna drive back and it's late.
