Follow up on the Zoo.
I've had to have time to digest this whole outing before posting about it and no, I didn't get to shove anyone in the tiger pit, even though there were instances where I really wanted to. I was mostly good.
Until we got to dinner and Loki showed up.
Now usually, I can ignore him. But I was sunburned, zero sleep and I had a visitor. Never mind the fact I'd made it clear more than once that he got on my nerves. We settled in at an awesome Italian restaurant and Loki was late, we were probably less than half way though the meal when he showed up. And the first thing he does when he sits down at the table is order an appitizer, which is no big deal, but he has to add the following, "Oh Calamari, I guess that's as Japanese as we're going to get huh?"
I ignored him and someone pipes up, "We already have some down here." and he never said he wanted any or I would've shared, but I didn't hear him ask for any. So dinner continued and he kept making cracks about how I dogged him on the club forums, just me and Ash, another guy in the club. I don't dog him, I just call him on stupidity which he has lots of. What do you expect from a 30 something who still wears a mohawk and Elmer's glue in his hair? Ignored him again, only offhandedly saying that I'd continue to dog him until he decided to say something that wasn't stupid. He laughed and I ignored him and continued on with dinner, but taking note that he'd insulted myself and Ashe both, thinking he was all slick and got away with it.
The final blow came when he was talking to a few of the new members at the end of the table about how I'd gotten on him for posting giant pictures in his posts, which I was nice about, I wasn't a jackass... though later he found the graphic smiles and has been abusing those and I made some snarky remark about how he abused them. And finally I was tired of it. I'd been insulted once and now he was talking crap to newbies. You don't do that. I have no beef with the new guys, I can just ignore them for the most part and be nice.
I told him, in no uncertian terms to cut the crap and let it go. It was in poor taste and if he didn't I was going to get up and come down to his end of the table and kick his ass. When he realized I was going off the smile slid off his face so fast it wasn't even funny and then he couldn't figure out why I was upset with him. After that he left the table and went to smoke outside. He paid, didn't take his leftovers or talk to me for the rest of the duration.
Which is fine with me.
After paying and discussing, I took my leave as they were going to a movie next. So I went home... and talked to Ashe the following day.
Apparently he'd complained and said that I was lucky he didn't respond to my outburst. Funny, if he had, I would've had like two people come to my side. He also said that he didn't know how to handle me... most people don't when I explode... and one of the guys just told him to not bother me or with me.
Now... lets see if his stupid ass listens, hm?
