Books Books Books
So I ordered a few books off Amazon.com on Thursday... well, I ordered two, and a CD that has yet to arrive.
I got a 3-in-1 trilogy by Nora Roberts I've been thinking about reading for quite awhile (hopefully it'll be a good one - her old stuff is awful), a Little Big Town CD... and Marley & Me.
Yeah, I'm finally getting around to reading it. I don't often read nonfiction (read: never), especially not biographies... but I saw the previews of the movie when it was in theaters, and after a year or so of thinking about it, I finally decided that I did, in fact, want to read it, because I wanted to see the movie, but felt I should read the book first.
I couldn't put it down. It was great. I laughed out loud, I cried a bit... it was a REALLY good book. I highly recommend it.
I haven't cried over a book like that in two years (Deathly Hallows).. it was VERY good. I felt like I really knew Marley, like I was really a part of his life. And, because this is the story of a dog's life... you know from the beginning he is eventually going to die. I just hadn't expected to get so attached to him in the process.
Anyway... great book, everyone should give it a chance.
