Stargazing

I went stargazing last night. Drove out with Tim south on Mullen, which extends for quite a ways - we drove out about 5 miles south, until we found what looks like a prison. I'm not sure what it was, and am rather curious about it and would like to investigate it. In any case, we turned back around and drove for about another mile until we turned onto 199th St, which turned out to be a cul-de-sac. And we parked and got out and stared at the sky for about half an hour or so, saw two different satellites, a flickering star, and general coolness before we decided to head back home out of exhaustion.

It was pretty freaking cool. Next time, I'll plan the trip better, find a good deserted spot to stop at with no houses or lights, and we'll go on a clear night when there's a new moon, so it'll be REALLY dark. I'd like to go out farther than last time, though I got creeped out after awhile last night because I could HEAR things. *shudder* Saw about a zillion lightning bugs, too. Probably killed another zillion with the car, lol.

Anyway, last night was a good night.

Today I'm working on building a website. Which will be awesome.
