Dream Believer

While taking my usual monday afternoon nap, I had two dreams. My sleep sequence was interrupted several times, so I feel like there were definately more than two dreams, but these two stood out the most:

The second dream (starting with the second because the first was so much cooler) took place at a party. The party had a sense of innocence to it. There was a tree house, and jungle gyms, but everyone there was an adult (except for the two orange baby monkeys that were being trained by the house owner). Anyway, at some point in the party I stopped to use the washroom (let's face it, even in dreams I pee a lot) and when I came out of the bathroom I was standing with Ashley Bianchi. We were talking about something (who knows what) when I noticed a bump on my arm. It was the kind of bump that cartoon characters have when they've been hit on the head. It wasn't very large, but it was large enough to be noticable. I tried to pick and poke at it, thinking it may be a pimple that needed popping. When I started to squeeze, something blue came out of my arm. A three inch blue tubular...something. The image is very graphic in my mind, but I have no words to describe it. Nevertheless, it was disturbing. I showed it to ashley who immediately said "Oh you have ____(Insert medical term here.) "What's that" I asked her. And her reply was this, "That means you will never stop having children."
End Dream.
This seems somewhat ironic to me because I want to have a lot of children. I actually was just talking the other day to my friend Rob about how I wanted to get married fairly young and have a large family. The odd thing about it was that when my friend called me and woke me up to ask a question I apparently said to her "I have to tell you about the worst dream ever." Granted, pulling an unknown blue object out of my arm may have added to the part about this particualr dream being unpleasant.

Before I hit dream two, let me tell you a dream I had about three weeks ago. In this dream, I was dreaming. Yes, that's right. I was dreaming about dreaming; something that rarely ever happens. And in my dream's dream my friend jared came into the room and started talking to me...but I was sleeping. She he quietly tiptoed out the door once he found me asleep. When when I actually woke up, the sound of jared's voice was so real that I had to ask my roommate if he had actually come into the room. He hadn't. The point of this andecdote is that after I had this dream, I consulted a dream book. And dreaming about dreaming is something so rare that many consider those who have these dreams to have a heightened sense of being; almost something like an out of body experience.

Dream Two:
In my dream, I was fully conscious of the fact that I was asleep. I saw myself sleeping, and yet I felt like I was on a bad acid trip. I felt as though I was spinning and floating, but I saw myself there lying on the bed. It was the strangest feeling. Anyway, I don't remember much about the actual dream, but I remember half waking up to find my teeth being tightly clenched together in a grinding motion. But the more I tried to stop my teeth from tightening, the more I felt like my jaw was apt to stay in that position. I feel as though my hand went up to my mouth to guarantee that they were indeed clenched together, and the only way I knew to make it stop was to force my self awake. I sat up and forced myself out of the dream and into reality. Only then was I able to loosen my jaw. Strange? I thought so too.

Part of my feels like my body is working it's way to an out of body expereience. gaining strength. That sounds crazy. Maybe I'm more hopeful than anything.

But hey, if you know anything, or are able to anaylize any of this, I'd be fascinated to hear about it.

love.
