I forgot to update my journal before I left- I've been in Melbourne since Friday and just got back. We drove in, which was such a long trip, but we rented a lovely big 4WD for the ride :)
We stayed with my aunty, uncle and cousin, just like last year. It was quite a good weekend, but it's a shame the weather was so awful...it was almost like the middle of winter. Last year, we spent half our time outside riding bikes around the neighbourhood and playing soccer (not usual pursuits for me, but they're fun when on holiday with cousins). This time, it was far too cold to do any of that, so when we weren't shopping we were stuck inside most of the time.
Lucky we're big poker players. We had some epic games, let me tell you. Spent a bit of time on Rock Band, but no hardcore Guitar Hero-ing like last time as my cousin lost his copy of the game (to my great dismay). We rented Silent Hill 3 as my cousin heard it was scary and wanted to play it, but as soon as we started he pretty much got too scared to play so we turned it off. :P
Shopping was great, all up I bought a beautiful ruffled summer dress, nice Classical-esque blouse, dusty pink skirt and a gauzy shawl-thing. I spent under $100, which was nice, and had to stop myself from spending more in order to (possibly) take the plunge (again?) and order something lolita online. I've been wanting to get something else for ages, but I haven't yet decided what, where from, or how much to spend. Since I don't have a job and no source of income other than Christmas/birthdays and when my parents are feeling generous, I'm always pretty nervous about spending my money- especially when it's on clothes that I have a possible chance of not liking after a while. Which is why I want to learn to sew...
Anyways, a nice weekend all up, good clothes and good poker. It's nice to be back home, though.
