A new level of locavorism

Urban Foraging.

Very. Cool.

"The more you learn about ancestral ways, the more powerful you will become. You will acquire the ability to recognize hidden abundance, to see things that were previously invisible to you. For instance, where I once saw a nondescript green mass lining the roadsides, I now recognize cough medicine, fiber to weave mats with, and even emery boards. Where I once saw unkempt yards, I now see salad greens. And those weeds coming up through the cracks in the sidewalk? They’re medicinal teas. Foraging is something anyone can do anywhere, right now."

More:
No, it's not really new. I just came across the terms today.

Honestly, in my early twenties, during the Christian phase of my spiritual journey, I wondered about Leviticus 19:9-10. I always thought that was a candidate for a verse that presents the totality of "God's Law". Yet most Christians consider it, what, a really tiny insignificant part of the story of Ruth? Antiquated custom? Symbolic?

Anyway, it makes me happy to know people are doing these things.

garden, greening, locavore
