Job Search Blues
AARRRGHH!!
I'm pulling my friggin' hair out here. I just can't get a freakin' job. Whether it's the way I look, the way I dress, or my gender, I can't get anything. I can't even get a temp job it seems. Went to Labor Unlimited at last today, waited in the waiting room for four hours, watched every other person filter out as they got jobs. One of the last three left in there and the ONLY one who'd been there before 9:30, I realized at 11:00 (having come in at 7:00) that I clearly wasn't getting any work.
I feel fucking awful. I always figured, well you know, maybe I can't get a cushy job like Starfucks or retail, but there'll always be temp labor, right? Apparently not.
Whine, whine, whine... tomorrow I'm going to a different temp agency that pays less. Hopefully I can actually get something through them.
