Haven't updated lately because lol I haven't had much to say that isn't something like "DEAR LJ, TODAY I FORGOT TO TIE MY SHOES. :D" aaaand I've been in Portland for the past few days for a spine appointment at Shriners (for my scoliosis). that hospital is really cool, by the way; it's on top of a hill in the woods in the middle of a city. I thought it was cool mm'kay |D
We stayed the night at the hospital because it was free and they had guest rooms on the seventh floor, which is on top of the building and really high. I had kind of a panic attack because going up the elevator made the building seem like it was moving and it made me really dizzy, so I convinced my grandma to let me take the stairs while she rode the elevator. I ended up beating the elevator. (>w<)b The room was rather claustrophobic, but the view was pretty impressive. You could clearly see both Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. Big mountains are big. :O
Next day, doctor's appointment. They took some X-rays to see if the curvature got worse; it did, and they informed me that surgery seemed the best option at this point. Woo, go me. It'll be sometime in the next 6 months or when they get a cancellation with an 8-hour window. I am actually far less apprehensive about this than the rest of my family is. XD;;
Stopped in Newport while going home and ate awesome seafood. Soooo much seafood. Seafood coma. <3
Also, yesterday was the Memorial-Day parade and the start of the Azalea festival. The parade was fun, and I saw
popsiclefiend at the festival. We hung out for a bit with Shelbi and I met the original anime club. They're a cool bunch~ YOU WERE ADORABLE IN YOUR LOLI DRESS, BB~
Also, I've started playing Lamento. It's such a pretty game! I could listen to the soundtrack all day. Hopefully it'll get translated at some point, because while I understand the main idea, my grasp of the Japanese language is....poor at best. :D;; So much text oh god.
And my grandma just came in and told us we're going to go see Star Trek after church. YEEEEAH
