“I’ll arm wrestle you for it, Perce,” Angelina said, a broad grin on her face.
“Don’t be absurd, Angelina. I will not arm wrestle you. That is barbaric and immature. Besides it is completely pointless. It’s just a cookie; you can have it. I don’t need the sugar. Why don’t we read a book or discuss the latest Ministry proposal?” he said as he pushed the plate with the last cookie on it towards his girlfriend.
“Percy, can I ask you something?”
“You just did.” He chuckled at his own joke, Angelina simply shook her head at the familiar and often used joke.
“I’m serious.”
“Yes, yes, ask your question.”
“How far is that stick shoved up your arse?” she asked with a glare as she crossed her arms across her chest, her stance screamed anger.
Percy stuttered at her direct question. He leaned back away from her, realizing that she was angrier than he realized.
“There is no need for such language. We can discuss this like calm, rational adults.”
“I’m sick of being a calm, rational adult. I want to have fun; I want to be crazy and spontaneous. Why is that so hard for you? I love you, Percy. But at times I want to toss you over a cliff. Why can’t you have fun for once in your life?” she raised her voice with each word. Her hand swiped across the table, shoving the bone of contention, the plate, off the table. The ceramic shattered on the tile floor, sending pieces flying everywhere.
Percy looked down at the floor in shock. His gaze moved from the floor to his angry girlfriend.
“You want crazy? You want spontaneous?” His only answer was a jerk of her head in the affirmative. “All right then.” He stood up and walked over to her chair. He grabbed her around the waist, pulling her body against his. He shoved everything else off the table with his other arm, placing her on the wooden table and covering her soft body with his hard one.
“Is that spontaneous enough for you?” Her answer was to grab his face and kiss him.
