just another posting....
today was short and sweet. i worked this morning, then visited michelle's school. she and i then went to a nice shopping center where we had some starbucks, picked up her reading glasses, and did some more shopping. we had dinner at mcdonalds...it wasnt good, but i really wanted to try it here in china, and i wasnt surprised to find out that it is very different here...let's just say i wont have it any more. the only fast food i'll eat is in'n'out, but i wanted to try some western food in china.
i still have yet to go to this one restuarant. it's called hot pot, where you cook your own food in boiling water; quite different than normal restaurants but that's the whole point of traveling...trying and seeing many new things.
then we did some grocery shopping. the fruits and veggies here are very very good, and so is the rice.
now im back home, gonna take a shower, and go to sleep somewhat early to catch up on sleep.
i am not sick any more, i completely healed :)
yesterday, michelle and i were in a shopping center and this couple came up to us and tried explaining something in mandarin, and we didnt really understand, so we assumed that they wanted one of us to snap a pic of them in front of this huge christmas tree...well, not really, it turned out that the guy wanted to snap a pic of US with his girl!! it was so funny. we felt really famous and special. i guess we stick out in a croud since you barely run into ANY foreigners around here and they love the few that they actually run into. not to mention there are so many poeple here, it's nuts!! the students at our schools really like us, they look up to us. they really respect us.
anyways...more to come...off to my shower
