Hi All,
Today we had "O.R."- Octopus Rehabilitation! :) Haha. We had a little skit where one of the staff members dressed up like an octopus and was saying how she was so burnt out because she was working too much, and then we had a class on balancing work and leisure. At the end of the class the "octopus" came back and said how she had gotten some "octopus rehabilitation" and she felt much better. But, the best part is that we got to have some "rehabilitation" ourselves- they took us out for the afternoon- to the mall! Instead of having classes after lunch, we went to the mall and then went to Dairy Queen on the way home! It was great! I treated myself to a few things at the mall. It was a much needed afternoon off.
They poured the cement down for the new dining hall. All of us between classes have been standing by the windows watching the construction workers- occasionally they'd look up at us, probably thinking we didn't get out much if we were so entertained by cement-pouring. ;) Anyway, tonight was also prayer meeting. Reese Kaufman, the president of CEF, spoke on prayer and it was really good. It definitely motivated me to have a more devoted prayer life. I'm going to head to bed now- I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow in preparing for my practicum on Friday, so please pray that I will get a good night's rest. Most of you probably won't read this until tomorrow, but if you could still keep me in your prayers anyway, that I would keep my mind focused on the Lord and do well on my practicum- not just for the sake of getting a good grade, but for preparing myself to be an inspiring, effective teacher to children and adults- I would very much appreciate it. Thank you so much to all of you who are praying for me- it really means a lot to me. I love you all, and may God bless you all abundantly. Thanks for reading.
Love,
Tamara
