I am open to new LJ friends, so if anyone wants to add me, they totally shouldn't be shy :)

I did a friends cut a little while back.. and, like you, had at cut some people I'd been LJ-friends with for a couple years. My policy is 'Comment or be cut'. The reason I HAVE a friends list is to read and comment on other people's lives, and in turn have them read and comment on mine. If I didn't want comments, I'd make my entries all private.

I'm pretty tough about this rule and generally wont hesitate to cut someone who is a lousy LJ-friend. However, I DO keep said-people on my facebook... Just because I've cut them on LJ, doesn't mean that I hate them and want nothing to do with them, afterall.

Anyway... One of the people I cut (who I had met in person even) did NOT take it well. She sent me a really nasty facebook message asking why I'd want to still be friends on FB if I didn't want her on my livejournal... and if I would not re-add her on livejournal, then she "didn't see the point in maintaining appearances like we are still friends, on facebook".

............ Wow. Too much internet drama for me!

Needless to say- we are not longer "friends" on ANY social-networking platform. haha.
