in the microwave. you MUST do it on half heat otherwise it burns. it usually takes 3 min. with some stirring with a fork.
it also MUST be a chocolate bar made with cocoa butter, not powder, in order for it to be creamy. it can have nuts in it, but nothing else. oh, and bittersweet or semi sweet is so much better than milk or even just regular dark (doesn't melt right). i use lindt bittersweet. i find it in the deli, seriously.

for desert we melt a chocolate bar with milk and dip pineapple, strawberries, and banana in it a la fondue.
and of course seltzer.
