My Sun
My Sun. She is my Sun.
Throughout my life, for so long now,
No matter what my darkness is,
Or where it comes from.
She is my Sun, my love, my life.
Wonders from the world,
Into my head, into my soul,
She can penetrate the best, every heartache, every strife.
One sound, her piano, her voice,
What wings looks like to me,
What they sound like, the wind over the sea
What they mean, a fire, heat, decisions, choice.
Holding on to this one grip.
One sound, that's all I need,
And the heat comes in waves,
Non breaking, never failing, doesn't slip.
Always, to me, my sun,
I turn my head and follow her gaze,
Follow her to the end,
When it comes, when the day is done.
I will give her my every breath,
Gladly, lay down, because,
All I have is hers, what she gave me,
Water, life, laughter, love - and myself.
