Awwww, yeah. Raiho knows what's up.
So yeah, I'm really excited, now I have a new way to accomplish my extended hours of doing absolutely nothing besides obsessing over collecting fish and/or swords and/or demons.
Speaking of demons, I meant to update sooner, but my ongoing Kagrra, coverage will have to wait once more. But for the entry after this one, I am going to do a more traditional entry, so if you don't really care to learn about the intracacies of awesome samurai history, you can skip over and wait for the next one. I also have another one planned more like the demon lore I did on
Lantern Festival day, but focusing more on Kagrra,, so look forward to that as well!
Hmm, I'm just throwing this out here, but I think I want to change my journal layout. Does anybody know anybody good? I'd be much appreciative.
So! On to my little gallery of fun. The reason I was unable to update was because my family went to the beach! I caught several fish and a lot of crabs as well, and spotted a jellyfish the size of a basketball, two squids eating fish, a see urchin and a hermit crab with a pair of anemones living inside its shell as well. It was really fun! I also took a trip to the aquarium, because when I go somewhere and there are buildings full of learning activities, I feel drawn to it and have to go. I took a lot of pictures, but I'll just share my favourite ones with you. Please enjoy the photos from the aquarium!
Here is the entrance to the aquarium.
This is the first fish we saw, a sturgeon.
This is an axolotl (I'm pretty sure). It was really happy to be in the aquarium, it would lay in front of where my camera was and do that little smile-type thing.
This is a pair of rather large tree frogs. They were about half the size of my hand.
This is a catfish.
After that, we went inside, and they had a large tank of sound-dwelling creatures. I was trying to get a photo of the puffer fish, and as I leaned down to try to take the photo, this freakish turtle burst forth into my shot.
It traveled around with another turtle, with an odd sky-blue hue to it.
We then went to the touch tank, where we saw hermit crabs, conchs and horseshoe crabs. In this photo, my friend flipped the horseshoe crab upside down so we could get a better look at it.
Also in another area of the touch tank were some sting rays, but they only came up to be touched when it was feeding time.
I forget what type of fish this is, but I liked its wacky little beard, and it liked hanging out at the front of its enclosure to look at all the people going by.
If you squint, you can see a flounder laying on the bottom of the tank. It moved to another part and changed its colour after that. It was pretty cool.
These seahorses were awesome. There were so many in their area, and one was a really vibrant orange, while the others were sort of brownish. They look really weird and ornate up close.
This electric green thing is a moray eel. Despite looking pretty frightening, he actually seemed to enjoy staring at all the passersby.
This is a porcupine fish.
These are moon jellies. They were my favourite thing at the aquarium.
This is another type of jellyfish. They were really ornate-looking like the seahorses. It's really weird to think about how, if they weren't lit like they are at the aquarium, you wouldn't see them in the ocean at all.
They had another section to view the morays. In addition to the one I posted up there, these two enormous morays were sitting in the middle of the huge two-story high exhibit! But from the back, you could see that one's head, and they also had a special display of a moray skeleton.
This is a lobster! It was really big. It was about two feet long!
This was the tropical fish exhibit. I think the photos turned out really good.
Well, I had a good time on my vacation. I hope you liked the pictures! See you soon.
