It's kind of embarrassing how excited I was to see that you had posted a new story. I mean it in the most positive way that your work is never "just" a story, but a character study--and this is a prime example. You convey Rachel's insecurity and her neediness, Kurt's verbal cruelty and of true kindness. And what's even more amazing is that you managed to explore the dynamic between two genuinely likable, genuinely infuriating characters in a way that made them very human, yet still sympathetic. (Seriously. There were moments I wanted to slap Kurt for his casual visciousness; and times I wanted to hug him. )

Having several lines that made me giggle helplessly in the midst of this emotional minefield was something of a bonus. Puck, by virtue of his tears, being Kurt's biggest fan? LET ME BUILD YOU A SHRINE AND WORSHIP YOU for that line. Blaine falling asleep while Stevie was still awake? Kurt's "crush looks" EXTINGUISHING a smoulder? LET ME ADD TO THE SHRINE. <3 Wonderful, wonderful work.

Oh my dear sweet lord in heaven. *fans self* But do you say the sweetest things. I swear, everything you say is just too amazing and fulfilling and Everything I Could Want. I'm so... nasjhashgayshh. So very very flattered at that about these things being character studies too because omg. And I'm so happy you liked this one and felt our bbs were in character, because yeah, they are legit the most lovable-but-infuriating characters like ever, which is... hard to try and emulate, goddamn. AND AND AND I am also most pleased that you got giggles out of Puck and sleepytimes and the Extinguishment of the Smolder! And in general thank you so much!

I love Kurt and Rachel's relationship in this. All the characters are spot-on, actually, and the dialogue made me laugh in several places. Really enjoyable read. :)

Oh thank you so much! I'm super psyched you liked it and laughed, and that Kurt+Rachel worked for you, and that you felt the characters in general were okay, because oh my actual god, writing Mercedes and Tina is pure torture, holy shit. So. Hard. Lol but anyway muchas gracias!

omg omg may well just be using this as another platform for ranting about something but can I just say

that fucking movie

so. fucking. on.

I loved with an absolute and fiery passion that they made Lucy's beautiful self Susan. That Lucy wanted to be gorgeous and perfect and eye-catching, and the single most beautiful way she could imagine looking was... like her older sister. And that the validation she wanted for that was her brothers telling her she was lovely. That change from the book was fucking perfect. Although in general I think the movies have a better grasp on the sibling dynamic; the books are so terribly polite. They're both nastier to each other and more loving to each other in the movies and it rings way more true to me.

ANYWAY THO AGREED, I love Kurt+Rachel forever and there should always always be more, omg. So but thanks so much for this comment babe, and I am psyched you liked those bits, and the Kurt and Rachel fun, and Blaine and all! YOU SWEETHEART.
