This prompt. Kurt looks adorable and childlike; people want to snuggle and help him because of it. Rachel just wishes he’d appreciate the advantage it gives him. Kurt is largely unimpressed by the whole thing.

Early sophomore year, Finn had nothing against Kurt, but he didn’t really know the dude, either... )

Hee! This was cute and witty and perfectly meta because fangirls (and possibly most of the female Glee cast) do seem to have a strange maternal fetish over Chris Colfer's doll-like looks.

Kurt didn’t usually show up for practices. He said he had better things to do, and Coach Tanaka totally had a guy crush on him due to his having a valuable skill, so the little dude never got in trouble for like anything.

LOL. This is going into my instant personal canon. I love Kurt not showing up for football practice and not bothering to learn anything about the game and Tanaka letting it all slide because he's sooo desperate to have a player on his team who can score field goals.

Artie was strongly in favor of being Brittany’s boyfriend. She was hot, and popular, and hot, and talented. And she bothered Tina. And she was hot. And she wasn’t put off by his wheelchair even a little. But she was also a little bit crazy, in a charming way,

This really made me giggle. It's so perfectly teenage boyish. But it was also a wonderfully concise way to sum up all Artie's motivations for getting with Brittany.

Loved the Rachel interludes too, especially the ones where Kurt's only response is to walk away from her very quickly.

I KNOW IT'S SO FRACKING META, I was trying so hard to... like, acknowledge that it's a thing, okay, he does look like a doll and that does give him an edge in some things, but at the same time, Kurt is not the kind of person to be touched by people treating him as younger than he is. And it is, on several levels, horrifically condescending, especially mixed with the... like, there's almost something sexist about it, because Kurt has a lot of ~traditionally feminine~ traits and that plays into treating someone like they're a kid, it just does, and... ffffnar. Idk idk bro. At the end of the day they don't mean anything bad by it and it does give him an advantage, which, Kurt likes advantages. Just. Probably not over-fond of this one.

HOWEVER. Wow. That was a lot to say, thank you, and I'm glad you liked this! Lol, I'm super happy you liked the Tanaka thing, too, because that is totally my personal headcanon; Tanaka never even cared about the game, so he must have been so glad to get someone who could just go out and do this one simple job, no coaching required.

And I'm totally over the moon that you liked Artie's thing, because he is... yeah, such a teenage boy, and I am so very far from being able to relate to a Standard Model Teenage Boy, so I always worry they'll come off all unnatural when I write them.

Aaaand I'm psyched you liked Rachel, natch, because she's my boo, and also Kurt would totally just walk out on her tho, amirite?

Scads of words to say, you know, thank you for commenting and I'm so glad you liked it!
