To: Everyone. Dan Schmitt (my main man since the beginning), Chris, Pete, Ali, my BFF Leah, Benji, Shay, Chris Hallisey, Adam, Brown, Bla, My boy Ev Dog, Erin, so many people. Anyone who ever made me smile. And I mean really really smile. There are so many of you, and my poor mixed up mind just can't keep track:
I wanted to stand outside and feel rain on my face and just hear nothing. It was the first time I ever stood outside in Newark and just heard nature. It was pretty amazing. It sounded nice. It sounded relaxing. It was a pretty surreal experience. I just stood outside and let the rain hit my face. It brought me to a time when rain made me think of washing my body clean instead of making me sad. It was nostalgic, but in a really good way. It made me think of you. I know it sounds weird, but for me the rain reminded me that something is watching me, ready to wash away the things that make me sad. Standing in the rain and just listening, it reaffirmed that notion. It felt nice. There's always something that weighs heavy on everyone's mind. It's really easy to see things that are going poorly in life. Sometimes something really simple can remind you that life will always get better if you recognize opportunities and make the best of things. Being outside in the rain made me think of you. All of you. In a weird way, it confirmed what I needed to hear, that as long as I had you, and the memories I've shared with you, my life would be ok. More than ok. My life would be good. Really good. Sorry if this sounds really weird. It's just something I felt while i was standing outside.
Love, Tim
