My to rec bookmark folder is exploding but I just read this one an hour ago and I can't not rec it asap. It's a Arthur/Merlin Modern AU. Also I'm thinking of making a post of KMM fics I follow with great pleasure recently, but how redundant would that be to rec There Are No Gays In Football? (if you don't know what I'm talking about, or if you haven't read it yet or if you haven't read the latest update (chap. 22), GO)
The One Where Merlin and Arthur Attempt to Have a Tasteful Wedding, by fuzzytomato02 ; NC-17 ; One Part ; 22k words
A/S: Merlin and Arthur decide to get married. That was the easy part. Planning their wedding on the other hand... A fic about the trials and tribulations of wedding planning. Based on the KMM prompt of organizing their own wedding. It's harder than they thought (good advice from friends, things that go wrong, nervousness/frustrations, etc.). In other words, approx 21k of cracky wedding shenanigans.
This fic is completely fabulous. There are loads of characters who are all completely amazing (who knew Myror could be so awesome?) and Merlin and Arthur come to realize that getting married isn't only about declaring their love for each other for the rest of their life. It's also dealing with family, friends, color, cake, dress, guests list, location, date and looooads of Saturday of preparation. The way they finally figure it out, and how they really love each other is completely amazing and heart-warming, and I have yet to find a down part in this fic: you're enjoying yourself reading it all the time and I'll probably read it again when I want some well-written good mood inducing story!
