work tidbits
I've had a semi interesting things happen at work today. Way to start Tammy... way to start. Anyhow, Lunch was going as normal as ever without really any complication but towards the end marks the beginning of the interesting-ness. So, the regular who seems to worship plum and soy sauce comes once again. So like any customer, you greet whoever and ask how they're doing. It must have been the awful humidity or something, but once I asked him how he was; he asnwered me, easy. What he was thinking about, got me, but he's a pretty easy going guy luckily. We both bursted out laughing but really it was quite hilarious. This was around 2:30 I think. Revenge of the brocoli comes again, in the form of a weird collection of mini brocoli this time. So Jenny comes along at 4:30 and the other interesting part comes about around 6 or something as I wasn't really paying attention at the time. Jenny was busy packing another order and Auntie Cathy was busy with another customer. This lady and her child walks in and greeted me and whatnots telling me she didn't know what to order. I noticed the accent she had but I didn't realize it was a French accent until she started talking to her kid in French. It wasn't like a heavy accent and whatnots, but I think she felt more comfortable when I started to talk to her in French. God I feel so rusty though. I haven't talked in French since I called Gaby awhile ago and even then, it only got as far asking if she was around (it's some weird habit I've had for some reason :/). It was kind of funny because I know in some cases, people have looked at me funny wondering how the heck I could even speak it, but she didn't.
Anyhow, the other interesting but was definitely the chicken wings order. There was this person that ordered a delivery for BBQ spareribs and then 5 orders of FRIED chicken wings~! Yes people that's all this person ordered. Heart attack in the making much? I hope they had other things to add to that or I feel sorry for their arteries. Now that I think about it, there was this one chicken wing that kept trying to run away and a vegetable spring roll that decided to make a sprint out of the table. At least I didn't have flying Soo Gai like yesterday when I was cutting it. And then there was this huge ass order. The person asked for a dinner 6-7 and then most of the things in that dinner again and then some. It was crazy since everything was just about doubled minus I think it was the chicken wings, the pork and the Moo Goo Gai Pan (it still never ceases to amuse me when I found out what it was) Poor Henry had to carry I think 6 bags since he was delivering it. I was going to get off at 7:30 but it was busy and I was pretty sure I'd miss the bus like yesterday so I got off at 8:30. Stupid inconsistent GO bus. It came 5 minutes earlier than yesterday (which I was able to catch thankfully) I missed the bus to work yesterday and was a few minutes late but missing it at night blew yesterday, that's for sure. Wow this was a total pointless rant, but at least I'm clean and full now woot~ *laughs* the blob for full is amusing and green tea icecream is da tasty (especially expensive My hime ice cream that Tracy bought with her moneys)
